Claims Administration

KCIC effectively uses its database technology to manage all claims administration processes including tracking claims, coordinating defense counsel invoices, and processing defense/indemnity payments. We couple our database with a web-based document sharing platform to allow all necessary parties access to the information they require. KCIC works in small teams and partners with the company and its professional advisers to streamline all related processes. KCIC assists clients with the following claims activities:

  • Enter, organize and store all of company claim details into our proprietary KAB database as filed. This includes electronic copies of original complaints, settlement releases, and other important claim documents.
  • Support the claim settlement process:
    • Generate standard or customized reports, including average settlement values by year, by jurisdiction, by disease or by any other captured data to assist in valuing claims.
    • Prepare and store your settlement releases depending on the criteria applied.
    • Work with the appropriate local defense counsel to ensure all required documentation is provided.
  • Coordinate defense counsel invoice processing and payment with national coordinating counsel.
  • Establish and maintain an escrow account to centralize cash flow activities in order to make defense and indemnity payments on clients' behalf and capture all related transactions in the same database.
  • Provide user access to our web-based document sharing platform to allow specified users to view and post common documents, generate standard reports, and easily view claim-specific details, thereby centralizing many disparate activities.
  • Perform duties in conjunction with insurance billing service offering.
